
The Nigeria association of small and medium enterprises(NASME) was registered in 1996 as a business membership organisation (BMO), to co-operate and foster the promotion of micro, small and medium enterprises ( MSMEs) in Nigeria. NASME is the only leading Nigerian private sector led BMO affiliated to the world’s association of small and medium enterprises (WASME) enjoying constructive status with the United Nations. NASME is equally beings assisted through strategic collaboration with UNIDO, UNDP, IFC, Federal Ministries, several embassies and bilateral chambers of commerce on its various projects and programs.
Training Programmes: We organize Basic entrepreneurship training programmes for startups and needs induced training for existing business owners.
NASME Policy Advocacy: We undergo advocacy work including lobbying on policy makers in order to create a more conducive business environment for micro, small and medium enterprises to flourish in Oyo State. We are at the fore front of MSME advocacy in Oyo State.
MSME Product Exhibition: We create platforms for our members to exhibits / showcase their products as a way of gaining more visibility and attracting right market for their products.
NASME Policy Review: We review impacts of the various government MSMEs policies in the state on micro, small and medium enterprises operating in the state and give feedbacks to the agencies involved for policy improvement.
Biannual Retreat: We organize biannual retreat for members whereby we review and analyse the previous strategies to identify what worked and what did not work and why? At this forum we also develop new strategies to move the association as well as the businesses of our members forwards.
National Conferences: We participate in NASME national conferences and other relevant conferences to discuss and champion the course of MSMEs in Nigeria.
Seminars And Workshops: We organize seminars and workshops to sensitize MSMEs in the state on policy development relating to MSMEs in the state. We bring government agencies who are stake holders in MSME issues in the state to enlighten MSMEs on the roles of their various agencies in MSME development in the state.
SME Village Square: SME Village square is a Roundtable public discussion forum focusing on government MSME policies and programmes. Panelists consisting of Key stakeholders in MSME development are invited to make presentation to the public on their involvement, current and prospective programmes for MSMEs in the State. This is a quarterly programme.
